 Thursday, April 30th, 2026 AGENDA: 1. Spelling (Week 30) test tomorrow. This week's words are: ( Abode, ascertain, elegant, precedent, agrarian, and delirious ) 2. Gr. 7 Career Day Permission Forms - please return no later than May 12th.  3. Field Trip: "I am Frankenstein." Permission slips sent home today. Parent Volunteers are welcome - please contact Mr. Hine, if interested. The show is a morning performance by SKSS Drama students.  4. Track and Field - Next Monday is the Distance Track Day. Please come ready to run either 800 or 1200m.  5. ADST - Stopmotion. We will be working on our stopmotion movies next Wed/Thurs next week. Please make sure you have your materials at the school so that we don't waste our class time!

 Wednesday, April 29th, 2026 AGENDA: 1. Math: "Linear Sequences" due tomorrow (HW check) 2. Novel Study - Journal Entry #2 due Friday 3. Stopmotion tomorrow afternoon. Please make sure you have your materials ready to use this work period productively.  4. NHL Playoff Pool - Deadline for chocolate bars is this Friday. All teams who have not paid their entry fee will be removed from the competition.  5. Field Trip Forms (2)  -"I Am Frankenstein" SKSS Drama performance - Fri, May 8th (sending home tomorrow) -"TRU Career Day" (Gr.7's only) - Thurs, May 14th (sent home TODAY!)

 Monday, April 20th, 2026 AGENDA: 1. Spelling (week 29) test on Friday. This week's words are: (retort, viewpoint, canny, nimble, substantial, and whim) 2. Novel Study - Vocab Activity (overdue), Journal Entry #1 (due Friday) 3. Stopmotion - planning, prep to start filming this week (Wednesday afternoon). Make sure you have your materials at the school, so you are ready to film!   4. Spirit Day - This Friday is a school-wide PJ Day, so feel free to participate if you are so inclined.

Don't forget to study and practice your sentences. 2. Novel Study - Vocab Activity (due Mon, April 20th). Don't forget to continue reading your novel at home if you need to. We should be about 25% of the way through so far and about half way by the end of this week. 3. PAC Basket . Thanks to everyone who remembered to bring in items today. Our basket is now overflowing with some fantastic items. If you are still planning to bring in an item, please note the deadline for collection is tomorrow! 4. Open-House - tomorrow afternoon (1:10-2:30pm)

 Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 AGENDA:  1. Novel Study - Start reading your novel. Remember that your first section requires you to choose at least 15 interesting vocab words and provide the definitions in a creative way (crossword, wordsearch, etc...). It would be a good idea to start writing these words right away as you begin reading. 2. Fun Fair - Reminder that our PAC basket is themed "EVERYTHING SPORTS." So far we have ZERO items in our basket. Please consider shopping for an item to contribute this weekend so that we can fill our basket. Due date for items is Thurs, April 13th.   Have a great Easter everyone! :)
