Spelling (week 35) Last test tomorrow. this week's words are: (despondent, flabbergasted, implore, magnitude, dishearten, and hilarious)   2.  Socials - Greatest Canadian Presentations (tomorrow). T 3. Great Canadian Wax museum will be on Monday, June 15th. Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend. Weather permitting, it will be held outside in the area by the portables 10:45-12:10pm...

 Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 AGENDA: 1. Math - "Formulas for Linear Relations" (due tomorrow) 2. Novel Study - Journal Entries 1-3 (overdue) 3. Stopmotion - only 3 work periods left. Next Tuesday we will be working on them again. Don't forget to have all of your materials at school on this day so your group can film!  4. TRU Career Day: (Gr.7’s) - reminder that all gr7’s are on a field trip to TRU with Mr.G tomorrow. Gr.6’s will be staying at the school with Mr. Hine.   

Mon, May 11th Agenda

 Monday, May 11th, 2026 AGENDA: 1. Novel Study - All Journal Entries are now overdue! All students should be finished reading their novels and starting Section 4 (Setting/Character/Plot). 2. Stopmotion: 2 blocks this week (Tues/Wed) in the morning. Please remember to have all of your materials (props/figures) at school so your group can do your filming!  3. Zone Distance (1200m) this Wednesday. Please remember to bring your permission slips to the office.   4. Gr.7 Field Trip this Thursday (Career Day @ TRU). There are still several students who need to remember their permission slips! NOTE: because of the short week (Track Day/Pro-D) there will be no spelling test this week...

 Thursday, May 7th, 2026 AGENDA: 1. Spelling (week 31) Test tomorrow. This week's words are: (expatriate, preclude, antiquated, demonstrative, intrepid, and restorative) 2. Field Trip: "I am Frankenstein" is tomorrow.  3. Stopmotion - Next week we our 2 work periods are Monday and Tuesday. Please ensure you have your materials (props, figures) at the school that day so your group can film. We only have 5 more class periods to finish this project, which includes editing. 4. Track and Field - reminder that our school track day for gr.6/7 students is next Monday, May 11th. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather and bring a hat/water bottle, etc.

Field Trip - "Frankenstein Play" This Friday. Please remember to bring in your permission slip tomorrow! 3. Novel Study - Journal Entry #3 (Final Chapters of novel) due this Friday.  4. Stopmotion: Tomorrow morning (and Thurs afternoon) we will be using class time to work on filming your stopmotion videos. Please make sure you and your group have all of your materials!!!

Gr. 7 Career Day Permission Forms - please return no later than May 12th.  3. Field Trip: "I am Frankenstein." Permission slips sent home today. Parent Volunteers are welcome - please contact Mr. Hine, if interested. The show is a morning performance by SKSS Drama students.  4. Track and Field - Next Monday is the Distance Track Day. Please come ready to run either 800 or 1200m.  5. ADST - Stopmotion. We will be working on our stopmotion movies next Wed/Thurs next week. Please make sure you have your materials at the school so that we don't waste our class time!

 Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 AGENDA:  1. Novel Study - Start reading your novel. Remember that your first section requires you to choose at least 15 interesting vocab words and provide the definitions in a creative way (crossword, wordsearch, etc...). It would be a good idea to start writing these words right away as you begin reading. 2. Fun Fair - Reminder that our PAC basket is themed "EVERYTHING SPORTS." So far we have ZERO items in our basket. Please consider shopping for an item to contribute this weekend so that we can fill our basket. Due date for items is Thurs, April 13th.   Have a great Easter everyone! :)
